Bra Fitting Guide
Heart shaped tape measure

Finding your perfect bra would be even easier if all bras were made exactly the same! With different manufacturers, styles and body shapes, it can sometimes be difficult to find the “perfect” fitting bra.

Lisa B Originals endeavours to provide a lovely breast prosthesis that looks and feels natural, and can fit in many good, supportive bras, regardless of price or brand name.

To find your ideal bra size, you will need to have a flexible measuring tape and be wearing a bra. It is also a good idea to have someone assisting you.

Below are some notes and guidelines to assist you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
measurement A
determines BAND size

Measuring in inches, go around your
rib cage underneath your bust line,
ensuring the tape is straight and flat
across your back. Pull the tape snuggly.
(Don’t hold your breath while measuring)

EVEN number – add 4 inches
Ex: 34 + 4 = 38 band size

ODD number – add 5 inches
Ex: 31 + 5 = 36 band size

Note: For measurements over 35 inches you may want to add 2 if EVEN & 3 if ODD to determine the band size.
measurement B
determines CUP size

for a Single Mastectomy
Measure the breast side
that has not had surgery.

Start in the centre of your chest or
breast bone and place the tape
over the fullest part of the breast
to the centre of your back.

Double this measurement
Ex: 20 inches x 2 = 40
The Difference between Measurements A and B above is your BRA size
1 inch = A cup
2 inches = B cup
3 inches = C cup
4 inches = D cup
5 inches = DD cup
6 inches = DDD cup
Ex: 40 inches – 38 inches = 2 inches/B cup. Your bra size would be 38B.

For a Double Mastectomy:
Measure the band size as indicated. For cup size – you can decide.
